On 04 August 2010, Guinness World Records™was present in Cairo, Egypt to adjudicate the record attempt for the largest food court. The brand-new Oasis restaurants and entertainment is now officially recognized by Guinness World Records™ as the largest food court in the world.
The architecturally impressive building has a total floor area of
41,000 m² (441,318 ft², 80 in²), it comprises 25 restaurants and
cafes with a total seating capacity of 4,223. This beats the
previous record holder, Tivoli Dome which comprises 16 restaurants
and cafes with a seating capacity of 2,500.
Oasis restaurants and entertainment also contains a beautiful
kid's zone, two cinema theatres and a parking space that can hold
up to 1,000 cars.
The restaurants and cafes housed in Oasis restaurants and
entertainment are:
Carpaccio; Mama Mia; Chez-edy; Bahee café; Bella café; Chez-louli;
Chooco bar; Dar Elkamar; Del doge; Elchuro; Elchuro-kiosk; Feg;
Hola café; Ice; Kahawagy; lapoire; Las olas; Makani; On The Wood;
Roof garden; Set Hosnia; Shors and Zalabia; Spectra and Tag
Elsultan.

Guinness World Records Adjudicator Talal Omar attended an official
ceremony after reviewing the surveyor's statements and personally
viewing the entire food court. At the end Mr Omar awarded the
certificates to Mr Alaa Alsayed who declared that the event had
been a great success.
Popular pop singer Abdel Fattah El-Jeriny was present during the
ceremony and entertained the hundreds of families who came to enjoy
the great atmosphere at Oasis restaurants.
